The Bugatti Owners’ Club, owners and operators of Prescott Speed Hill Climb, are pleased to announce a new format for Rallye Prescott in 2022, following approval being granted by the governing body for British Motorsport, Motorsport UK.
This ground-breaking format will see the event offer competition runs up the historic Prescott Hill in both daylight and darkness, marking a first ever in the history of competitive hill climbing.
Scheduled for Saturday 5th November, the event schedule has been amended to allow competitors to experience the hill in darkness with event organisers taking advantage of the end of British Summer Time and a slightly delayed start.
Competitors will undertake 1 practice run and 2 timed runs in daylight, followed by a supper break instead of the traditional lunch break, then complete the evening with 1 practice and 2 timed runs in dusk / darkness. In order to be classified as a finisher, competitors must compete a timed run in both daylight and darkness.
Cars competing at the event will be required to run lights in accordance with Motorsport UK regulations for rallying, with classes for both road rally and stage rally cars being provided and the difference in lighting regulations applying accordingly. This provides the opportunity for cars to take to the hill with every lighting option possible, ranging from standard road-going lighting, spotlights and full stage-specification lamp-pods.
For those familiar with night-time events, the memory of hearing the sound of a BDA engine roaring through the Welsh trees will be recreated within Prescott Estate, but with the added luxury of a fully functioning (and heated!) Clubhouse, offering a full bar service and hot and cold evening meals.

Likewise, discounted advance spectator tickets are available online at only £15 per person with Under 16s and BOC Members benefiting from free membership.
