WHEELS AT PRESCOTT - THURSDAY 25TH APRIL
The Wheels event on Thursday 25th April attracted 64 enthusiastic photographers to sit for a presentation from two of the BOC's best known accredited snappers, Geoff Robinson and Chris Ponsford. They each projected slides of their work at Prescott to demonstrate composition and technique. They held the rapt attention of their audience and addressed a bunch of pertinent questions. In the upper paddock outside, there was an array of interesting cars, including Jaguar, Aston, Porsche and Lotus.
GUIDED TOUR OF THE BUGATTI TRUST - SATURDAY 27TH APRIL
A small number of members and their guests were privileged to take a guided tour of the Trust Museum on Saturday 27th April. There's more to Bugatti than cars, and we were given an insight to the highly regarded talents of other family members, which include highly sought after sculptures and furniture making. Angela Hucke, the Trust's Curator gave a brief introduction of the educational work of the Trust and its archive. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guides, David Morys and Charles Trevelyan, expounded on the engineering in the cars and answered questions about the cars and engines on display. The exhibition changes regularly and preparations are currently in hand to celebrate the centenary of the Type 35, one of the most iconic cars ever raced.
The next Friends of Prescott Fundraisers are still open to book and raise important funds for infrastructure projects at Prescott to improve the visitor experience.
