As we have now reached the end of the competition season, with the Henneys and New Barn Championship sewn up for the year, held within the most horrendous weekend of rain thanks to Storm Alex, when Winchcombe recorded the highest level of rain in the south-west, it did not stop Prescott from operating over the whole weekend, with thanks to the Marshals, the staff and the enthusiasm of our competitors, indeed FTD was taken on both days by Eynon Price at 43.72.
As we now approach the winter months, Council, your Chairman and General Manager are now facing a reduced income stream with little other than the forthcoming support from membership renewals which are due to begin shortly and spares sales.
This has resulted in the tough decision being taken to reluctantly put in place two further redundancies, these being Trish Davis and Aline Gallan, with immediate effect.
Obviously both roles held by Trish and Aline, Spares Manager and Financial Administrator respectively will no longer exist, but Council would like to reassure the membership that both of these functions will continue as usual and be resourced through remaining staff or through outsourcing.
The Club would like to thank both Trish and Aline for all their years of hard work, loyalty and service and wish them well for the future.
