Prescott Season Finale: Saturday round-up

Updated: Nov 11, 2021

Prescott's Season Finale got underway on an action packed afternoon for Round 4 of the BOC Championships on Saturday.

Drivers in the New Barn, Henney's and BOC All-comers Championships faced tough conditions throughout the day as rain persisted, creating heavy wet conditions on the hill, but that didn't stop any action.

Eynon Price finished the day with the fastest time in his Force TA with a time of 44.10, who was closely followed by Matthew Ryder for the second fastest time of the day on 44.87 in his Empire Wraith.

Cars competing in the Class P3 of the Henney's Cider Classic Speed Championship took to the hill first where Matt Clarke was awarded first place in his Austin Mini with a best performance on handicap, while Iain Stainburn came out on top in the Class P4 in his Reliant Scimitar Coupe.

Phil Fisher took first in his Mallock Mk11 in the Class M1 of the Henny's Championship next as Jeremy Rivers Fletcher and his Triumph Special claimed the top spot in the Class M2.

The New Barn RS Interclub License Championship was next to hit the hill with Alex Risk finishing first in his Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior in the NB1 Saloons, while Martyn Rawson took first in the NB2 Sports Cars in a Toyota MR2.

The BOC All-Comers were last to line up and Mark Maynard claimed first on handicap in his Hillman Imp in the B1 Class. While in the B2 Class Rodney Eyles finished first in his Alfa Romeo 4C.

Lastly Dominic Hentall took first on handicap in the B3 class in his Lancia Aurelia to round off the competition for the day.

The BOC would like to thank all competitors and marshals for today's event and we look forward to another day of action tomorrow.
